Most of the 142 styles in this category are soft shells. These are wind- and water-resistant jackets with a stretchy woven face and a soft lining. They’re a different garment from a hard rain shell or an insulated parka. A soft shell is the jacket staff wear all day in spring and fall, then wear again over the weekend.
Port Authority and Eddie Bauer make the core of our blank shell jackets. We also carry CornerStone workwear soft shells and several soft shell vests. Use the filters to narrow by brand, gender and color. The sections below explain what separates a budget-friendly uniform shell from a premium one.
Bulk Shell Jackets When You Need One Style for a Group
A jacket order is harder to plan than a T-shirt order. Each unit costs more, sizes matter more, and a style that runs out of 3XL halfway through a reorder becomes a real problem.
When you buy bulk shell jackets for a group, check three things before you choose the color:
the size range
whether there’s a matching women’s cut
whether the style is a long-running core item or a seasonal one
Wholesale Shell Jackets for Businesses & Organizations
Wholesale shell jackets suit groups that need a professional outer layer that isn’t bulky:
field service teams
property management staff
event crews
school administrators
sales teams that travel between client sites
The Port Authority Core Soft Shell Jacket J317 is the standard choice for these programs. Port Authority describes it as a go-to uniform soft shell that sheds wind and rain. We list it in our corporate uniform collection as well as this one.
For crews doing harder physical work, the CornerStone Workwear Soft Shell CSJ70 is also a great pick. Our work jackets category has more options for job sites.
Getting the Right Mix of Sizes for a Group Order
Start with real sizes, not guesses. A quick sign-up form or a size-sample session saves more money on jackets than on any other garment, because exchanges and reorders cost more per piece.
A few practical points:
Check the full size range first. The J317 runs XS–6XL. The Eddie Bauer Soft Shell Jacket EB530 stops at 4XL. If anyone on your team wears 5XL or 6XL, that narrows your choices before style or price comes into it.
Budget for extended sizes. On the J317, 2XL and larger carry an upcharge that increases with each size though still the market-best pricing. Price the actual size breakdown, not the medium.
Offer women’s cuts where they exist. The J317 has a women’s version, the Ladies Core Soft Shell L317. Most of the core colors appear in both cuts.
Think about layering. People who plan to wear the shell over a hoodie may want to go up a size.
For taller team members, compare our tall jackets.
Port Authority & Eddie Bauer Shell Jackets for Custom Apparel
Port Authority covers most of this category, at the price points most uniform programs work with. Eddie Bauer adds a more technical, more polished option for client-facing teams and executive gifts.
Port Authority Options for Company & Team Apparel
Port Authority’s soft shells come in a range of grades:
J317 Core Soft Shell. The standard uniform choice. It has a 100% polyester woven shell bonded to a water-resistant film, with a microfleece lining. Its rating is 1000mm for water and 1000g/m² for breathability. Other details include a cadet collar with chin guard, reverse coil zippers and zippered front pockets. It comes in 11 colors on the product page. Port Authority also lists it as rental-friendly, which matters for programs that use uniform rental services.
J717 Active and J716 Active 1/2-Zip. Sportier options. The half-zip is one of the lowest-priced shells on the page.
J617 Flexshell and J720 C-FREE Core Soft Shell. Step-up styles, each with a women’s version (L720 for the C-FREE).
J325 Core Soft Shell Vest. A sleeveless option for staff who need freedom of movement at the arms.
Because so many Port Authority shells come in men’s and women’s pairs, a company can dress a mixed team in one consistent style. See the full range on our Port Authority brand page.
Eddie Bauer Styles for a More Refined Outer Layer
The Eddie Bauer EB530 is a three-layer soft shell made of 96/4 poly/spandex with two-way stretch. It’s rated 3000mm for water and 3000g/m² for breathability. That’s three times the J317’s ratings on both measures, so the EB530 holds up better in wet weather.
It also has some practical details:
adjustable hook-and-loop cuffs
a hem drawcord
a zippered chest pocket
component loops at the back neck and cuffs for attaching it to compatible jackets
It suits sales teams, management and client gifts, where the jacket needs to look premium.
One thing to know before you decorate: the EB530 comes with a contrast Eddie Bauer heat-transfer logo on the right chest. Plan to put your logo on the left chest.
Eddie Bauer also offers the women’s EB531 and the Shaded Crosshatch Soft Shell in men’s (EB532) and women’s (EB533) cuts. See more on our Eddie Bauer brand page.
How Can Blank Jackets Work for Your Customization Project?
Blank jackets for customization work best when you plan the decoration before choosing the jacket. Look at the jacket’s color, its existing brand marks, where the zippers and pockets sit, and how much branding your program needs.
Adding Logos to Jackets for Teams & Businesses
Left-chest embroidery is the standard for soft shells. It’s easy to see, it looks professional, and it sits clear of the center zipper and the side pockets.
Many programs add a second location, such as the right chest, a sleeve or across the upper back, for a team name or department. Keep in mind that each extra location adds cost per jacket.
Several shells on this page, including the J317 and EB530, can be ordered with embroidery directly from the product page.
On the EB530, embroidery pricing is based on one location up to 8,000 stitches. Orders of 24 or more with the same design qualify for free setup and digitizing within that stitch count. A simple, compact logo keeps costs predictable.
Building a Coordinated Outerwear Collection
A shell jacket is usually the top layer of a uniform, so choose its color alongside the garments worn underneath. A black or Dress Blue Navy J317 works over most polo shirts and hoodies and sweatshirts. Heathered shells such as Black Charcoal Heather or Navy Heather look a little more casual.
If staff need both a shell and a sleeveless layer, the J325 vest pairs with the J317. Use the same embroidered logo on both so the two pieces match.
Shell Jackets for Sale in Sizes Ready for Group Apparel
Our shell jackets for sale range from budget-friendly uniform basics to premium technical shells, with men’s, women’s and extended sizes across many styles. If you need one jacket for a whole department, start with a core style that offers both cuts and the size range your team needs.
Jackets for Events, Outdoor Crews & Promotional Programs
Matching shells are useful for:
event staff working outdoor venues, such as concerts and festivals or sport events
landscaping and grounds crews
golf course staff
valet teams
volunteers who need to be easy to spot in bad weather
Know the jacket’s limits. Wind-resistant and water-repellent with a 1000mm rating, the J317 handles wind and light rain. It isn’t built for all-day downpours. For staff who will stand in steady rain, compare our rainwear. For roles that require certified high-visibility gear, look at the CornerStone ANSI 107 Class 3 Soft Shell CSJ503 or ourconstruction hi-vis range.
Blank Jackets That Leave Room for Your Branding
The clean front panels on most soft shells leave space for a left-chest logo. A blank shell becomes a branded jacket with one decoration step.
Keep in mind that some styles, like the EB530, already carry a manufacturer logo. Choose a style without one if you want only your brand on the jacket.
Buy Shell Jackets in Bulk From ShirtsBargain
Like all other blanks, there is also no minimum order quantity on blank shell jackets in ShirtsBargain. You can buy a few samples to test fit and color before committing to a full order. When you’re ready to buy shell jackets in bulk, you can add multiple sizes and colors of the same style to one cart.
Prepare Your Bulk Jacket Order Around Your Program
Before you order, have these ready:
a confirmed size list, including the split between men’s and women’s cuts
one primary color, plus any secondary colors and the groups who will wear them
Your digitized logo file, placement and number of decoration locations
a buffer of a few extra jackets in common sizes for new hires
Ordering a handful of spares now usually costs less than placing a small, separate reorder later.
Stock Up for Upcoming Events & Apparel Needs
Soft shells are most in demand in spring and fall, which is when event calendars fill up and outdoor crews need a layer. Order a few weeks ahead to allow time for decoration.
For ongoing programs, record the exact style number and color name, such as “J317, Dress Blue Navy.” That makes it easy to match later orders.
One caution for sale styles: some colors on this page are discontinued. The EB530 in Rhubarb Red, for example, is discontinued and can’t be returned or exchanged. That’s fine for a one-time event. It’s a poor choice for a uniform you’ll need to reorder.
